Puneet is a second-generation Canadian, born to parents who both immigrated to Canada from Punjab, India. Puneet spent his childhood living in BC, much of it in the Lower Mainland. He began his professional career in 2010 as a Teacher because of his passion for helping others. Throughout his educational career, Puneet has had the privilege of teaching and living in South Korea, China, and Mexico. Puneet remains involved in education in the Fraser Valley. Throughout his life, Puneet has witnessed much of his extended family immigrate to Canada. He has also had the opportunity to travel to almost every continent and meet people from all over the world who now call Canada their home. Puneet has witnessed the benefits of Canadian immigration, but also the obstacles and challenges immigrants face. Inspired by his life experiences, Puneet completed an Immigration Consultant Diploma, and earned his Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant license in 2020. In 2022, he established Direct West Immigration, a company dedicated to helping immigrants and their families navigate the Canadian Immigration system.
